I am trying to connect my sony tv to my computer via the dvi to hdmi cable and use the 1080i resolution. I was able to get it to display with some overscan which I am not currently worried about. My problem is trying to get the text to display nicely. Right now it is blured and it seems as though the text is overlapping itself with one layer slightly higher than the other. Is there some tv settings with that can fix this or is there something with the computer I can try. I am able to get pictures and dvds to look fine.
I also have my tv connevted via the vga cable and everything looks fine. I just want to connect it via the dvi so I can get higher resolutions because my tv only supports 1360x780 on the vga connection and trying any higher resolution than that messes up the picture. I have the latest catalyst drivers and have been using them with hdtv support selected. Here is my moninfo: Monitor Windows description......... Sony Monitor Manufacturer description....
