Default Anyone have a TomTom?

I like using my ONE 3rd ed. model like literally every day.

Has anyone mastered the art of changing the splash screen on the device to a .bmp of your choosing?

They're fully customizable if you know what you're doing.

I have a TomTomGo910; don't know if the way you change images is the same on both, but on this one, got to "change preferences" thengo to start-up preferences (press next 4 or 5 times. Don't do anything but press "Done" and it asks to change start-up image.

To get the pic you want in you will have to hook your tomtom up to your computer and go to your TomTom Home (you will have to use the cd that came with the unit to load it. Once there, you will load your pics (it was a while back, and I am not sure what all it takes, but it was easy). Your manual should be on the cd as well.

Yeah I got it - thanks!

Customization is really putting this ONE v3 over the top for me. Yoda voice, custom splash screen, night and day colors as I see fit... what else can I do...

What do you do with your 910?

Thumbs up

Kind of off the intended subject but I bought my daughter one a few years back, right before they started numbering them, I just had a feeling she needed one.

That year between Nevada and Colorado on her way to pick up some horses her truck decides to just limp along. The thing was invaluable in helping her find gas stations and car dealers to fix the thing.

I'd highly recommend one if you do cross country traveling or go through unfamiliar areas.

thinking about upgrading to a more expensive tomtom model. currently using a basic magellan 1200...the magellan is ok. It picks up the satellites quicker, but I've found the magellan to be off a few yards when locating certain destinations. The Garmin and Tomtoms seem to be the more accurate ones and can be updated with new maps. Support for new maps with magellan is next to impossible! Also customer service with magellan is close to non-existent!

Do you know what you want? Like a simple TTS upgrade would warrant a ONE XLS...

Just how many bells and whistles do you want?
