What is HD?

Hi
I got a used Starchoice high def receiver from my uncle and a star choice elipticle dish with a LNB that is Y shaped and has a coax comming out of each Y,at a garage sale. Is that the right setup for HD? Do I need a certain switch to connect the LNBs together? Thanks |
