OMNI 2 HDTV Football Signal is Crap?

I am forced to watch the HD football game that plays at 4:00 pm Sunday on HDOMNI 2 since all the US stations playing that game are replaced with the HDOMNI2 feed.

The picture is crap.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I was able to compare the picture because two Sundays ago, the same game was on HDOMNI2 and HDSNT. The HDSNT picture was true HiDef while the HDOMNI2 picture was fuzzy. Their picture was even worst when they broadcast the Fox game.

Anyone know why they can't produce a good picture?

Chris,

I feel your pain. I just stumbled onto your post now after watching the Philly/Dallas game. I noticed that the picture was not as sharp as the early games on FOX and CBS.

I don't know why the picture isn't as good but I expect some clarity is lost in the simsubbing process that takes place so we can see Canadian commercials. It is very frustrating to have so much invested in our personal home hdtv setups to have the broadcaster screw it up!

Hopefully the situation will improve in the future.
