A resurrected Superchannel is supposed to start on Shaw Cable tomorrow and so far I haven't heard or seen one mention of it by Shaw, either on their web page or in the paper.
A cynical person might say that's because Shaw owns Corus which in turn owns Moviecentral and they are deliberately ignoring any reference to the new movie channel as it is in direct competition to their own movie network. This is why cross-ownership of companies, imho, can often be a bad idea for the general public e.g. Locally, we have a Global TV station that has a segment every morning from an executive of the Vancouver Province talking about some news story or article appearing in the latest edition of the paper. They also frequently have people from the Vancouver Sun on the show promoting one thing or another. Both papers are owned by the same company that owns the station; Canwest Global. So far, I've never heard any disclaimer saying anything about the common ownership of the three enterprises as most other media businesses do.
