Default Single signal!!!

Okay, here's the problem.

I've installed my satellite and am trying to get my receive to receive.

I was able to adjust my satellite to get a NEAR 100% signal from the 91 sat, but the 82 sat was red and said "wrong satellite" (even though the signal strength was high).

I checked my install and realize the 91 feed was going into dish 1 on the sw21 and the 82 feed into the dish 2: the manual says 82 into 1 and 91 into 2. (Q1 does this matter?)

When I swaped the feeds to the "correct" spot on the switch. I found I didn't get any signal at all, even though I didn't move the reflector.

I tried swapping cables, lnbf's, bring receiver to store to get tested (works), bringing the receiver to GF's dad's place to try with working satellite (works).

I think I've tried everything.

Q2: Is this a switch issue?

Q3: Is this a sat. positioning issue?

PLEASE HELP!! MY PLASMA IS GETTING MORE OBSOLETE EVERY SECOND!

I forgot to mention its a BEV system with a 6100 series receiver.

Oh, and I forgot to be polite:

Thanks ahead of time for any help given.

It sounds like you have the wrong lnb aimed at 91. What you have now is the lnb that needs to be aimed at 82 (left head if behind dish) is aimed at 91 and the lnb that needs to be aimed at 91 is pointing to nothing. Move your dish to the south (left if behind dish)about 4 degress and change your altitude down by about 2 degrees. Also check on your skew for your area.
Good Luck,

That's exactly the first thing that I thought about when I first had problems, I just didn't know how to quantify it, describe it or fix it. Then I got lost testing all the other possibilities.

In fact, in order to get the reception I currently have I moved the dish frpm my startin position a couple degrees to the north and a couple degrees up!

I will try your fix right now.

Thanks.
