What is HD?

New to the board... just had a question?
I have a Rogers HD box 3250 which has no hdmi port, so i'm running my hdmi cable from my plastma tv to the my receiver, i got the dvd working with hdmi but i can't get regular cable, do i need to have an HD pvr to to run hdmi on my regular tv since i think hd pvr boxes are the only boxes that have the hdmi port?
Any information is greatly appreciated. Bomber |
