Rogers & component cable question

i recently bought a sharp aquos lcd from best buy,and the seller highly recommended some cables...i bet you can guess which ones

I'm a newbie and know very little about HDTV and cables,so I ended up buying them...i received my hd-pvr box from rogers today and started setting everything up...when it came time to place the monster cable...as silly as this might sound,it seems as if they component cables don't fit the sockets (?) properly in both the tv and the rogers box,they kept on slipping out...after a while I got them to stay in place but the picture quality was really bad...a very reddish tone

so i switched the cable to the one that rogers sent with the box and they work perfectly fine..a nice quality image

am i supposed to force them in a little more ? (I was scared in doing some type of damage to the tv) or am I better off just trying to get a refund from best buy?

any input would be appreciated

Sounds like you have a perfect reason to return the Scamster Cables.

Why would you want to figure out how to install the expensive cables? They aren't going to make a difference to the picture quality.
