Default Rogers Bundle Packages - Bait and Switch ?

I'm wondering if anyone else is as incensed as I am over the fact that Rogers enticed us into subscribing to multiple services (in my case Cable and internet) under one "bundles" discount plan and have now changed their program to a much less attractive plan.

Because the original plan was never presented as a "temporary promotion", it seems to me that those who signed up under the original plan should continue to receive their full discounts.

I hope Rogers reconsiders what I view as a highly unethical business decision. Otherwise, I will certainly be looking for the first opportunity to switch all of my business to their competitors. And I would certainly encourage others to think twice before being suckered in by empty promises.

At my location in Pickering ON, Rogers has really pissed me off by switching channels recently, taken out some and adding some others.
As you said, we need some good healthy competition to give us options.

You are correct our Bell promo was set to a distinct price and they changed the price BUT Bell sent us a letter to tell us that because we had signed up under a specific promo etc our price would not change unless we downgraded our package if we added to our package the pricing wouldn't change other than the addition of what we added. We dropped Rogers for that exact reason We signed up for internet and tv and home phone through Rogers with the promise of a % of a discount. Then when we called for the discount we were told well you need to agree to our home phone for X number of years if you don't then the price will be X% higher than you were told this promo would be so we told them to forget the whole thing.

Technically its illegal for them to change your contract if it does not expire or is not written in that they can. I use to work at Future Shop and the change their warranty all the time but the customer is subject to the warranty at the time of signing/Purchase and Future shop has no legal right to change them. I should think the same would be true for Rogers although i am sure they would fight you on it. If you can find the original add that the nonpromo Promo was on you may be able to force them to leave you at that price, if you have not canceled already or changed the service in anyway which could change the ToS.
