Hi I currently have expressvu, but I dont have an HDTV yet (getting one for christmas) and im sure once christmas comes I will want to go from normal expressvu to HD expressvu.
I was looking over their pricing plans, and it shows that you have the option of buying a reciever. What is the difference? Do they reduce your bill by $10 a month or something if you own your own receiver? But then if you rent it you can get a new reciever whenever they release a new one? Or how does it work? Also, if I switch up to HD do I need to actually replace my Dish? or will my current one work fine? Will be a pain in the ass digging up all the wires from 3 feet in the ground if Ill have to replace the dish (unless I can still use the same coaxial cable) Thanks |

Ok, the answer to the dish question depends on what dish you have. You need one of the newer dishes with the dual LNBs. If you already have dual LNBs (those things looking at the dish) you should be ok. If you only have one LNB, well you are in for some digging.
As to why buy, thats an question of personal choice. Dealing with Bell is like having your skin removed. I'd prefer not to have to deal with them if I don't have to. |

oh really? where does it say that cause that would be awesome.
Also, what exactly are the advantages over buying one vs renting? Because the pricing packages didnt seem to state any discount if you own it. |
