not sure if anyone here knows this but i want to know.

Does Rogers(specificly in Atlantic Canada, Newbrunswick) run their cable line using RG6 or RG59? im thinking of calling them and asking but i highly doubt they will know unless i speak with a tech but i havent had time to call yet, im wondering if anyone here knowns this answer.

It really depends wher you live,I know they are upgrading thier network. The easiest way to check is to go outside and see what kind of wire you have comming to your house.

You can tell by the connector on the end of the cable it will actually have a number stamped in it and with Rogers the snap and seal connectors they use are colour coded for the type of cable they are using. If it is blue plastic in the end of the connector it is RG6. I used to do quite a bit of structured wiring and voice and video cabling so I got to know the different cables and connectors etc.

Here is a link to the connectord and colour codes for what type of cable you have determined by teh SNS connector on the end.

correct.. it doesnt have a blue connector.. the connector is black? the blue connector was for another wire/cable. i cant see anywhere on the cable itself "RG6" or something similar.. the ONLY closest thing i can read is "Series 6"..whatever that means.
