Default Hooking up High Def Bell, How many Wires needed?

I already have the right dish, I know I would need a 2nd lmb. Now each lnb has 2 cable slots. I have 4 regular receivers and want swap on out for high definition. I will probably need a new switch but am getting conflicting stories from bell tech support, bell store and the installer. I currently have two rg6 wires running in from the dis. Is that sufficient to run the 3 reg and 1 HD sat? Also inside the house is rg59. I can get an rg6 over to the high def receiver but it would be hard to rewire the enitre house for the others?

Other problem is we are starting to lose some channels, the signal strenght isnt what it used to be. Bell is telling us it is the rg59 and needs to be replaced as it is degrading over time (the wiring is only 12-14 years old.) Any ideas ??

Thanks

First I agree with BEV get rid of teh RG59 and put in a quality RG6 I re ran the entire house with RG6 Quadshield a little more money but well worth the cost. I would also look at a splitter that may have some small amplification to it but not so much as to degrade the signal as I have seen happen.

First off, I would suggest that you try to replace as much cabling with RG6 as possible. That will hopefully fix your signal strength problem. As for your hooking up issue, is the HD receiver you're installing the 9200 HD+PVR? If so, you can run a second t.v off that one to make the wiring problems a little easier and less confusing. I do know that you need RG6 cables connected to both LNBF antennas to receive the HD broadcasts, and only connection to the one labelled satellite 91 for SD signals for your regular boxes. You may need the installer to include a signal distributer/amplifier for your multiple receivers. I hope this helps, good luck!

If you don't want any headaches down the road you should run 2 wires to each lnb,and buy the 4 reciever swich. You should use rg6 from lnb to each reiever with a groud loop.I say this because once you start watching HDTV you'll be saying bye bye to your old crt tv's.check out Bell's website they have some promo's for hd and existing client's.

Edit: with only 2 wires you will have conflits with channels that are on different transponders.
