Shaw terminal box

I am having a problem. I have just finished installing and downloading all the software on to the box. But I can only use "Guide" sometimes. When it doesn't work, it just blinks on the screen on the box. BTW I am just using this box ony my old tv until the HDTV comes. But surprisingly even on this tv, it makes a difference to watch a HD channel.

I just went and tried again but guide will only work on the lower 1-60 channels. When I go to a HD channel and try to use the GUIDE, it won't work and nothing happens.

I'm just guessing, but if you mean that you aren't seeing any picture at all, try unplugging the receiver for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in again. It may take a little while, but the guide and all other info should re-load itself. This happened to me last week, I have the Shaw DCT-6412 HD+PVR, and upon gaming for a while, I went to switch back over to cable again, but got no picture. The audio was working still however. After being on hold for 45 mins.

, I decided to take matters in my own hands. Unplugging it and plugging it back in again seemed to work. I hope this helps.
