My only option is to go with Rogers HD, does it make a difference what cable I ask them to use when installing. Will a better cable make a better picture and if so what kind of cable? Many thanks

You have to make sure they use component at a minimum. But HDMI is the best option, but I am not sure the cable companies offer that cable. Depending on the box you might be able to use DVI-HDMI or HDMI-HDMI. These 2 connections would be the best possible for video becasuse they transfer digital with no conversion. But there is a great debate over whether one should spend the money because component cables do give good picture quality also. But you are converting the signal down to analog from the cable box back to digital when if goes into the TV. So only your eyes would be able to judge which is better.
My opinion is dispite componenet giving a good video picture and all the feedback you might get after I said HDMI is best. Wouldn't you want the best connection available? I know I do! Good luck.
