What is HD?

Hello,
I'm just about to take the plunge into the world of HD. And I've been reading conflicting info on what provider offers a better picture. I'm not interested in service. Both of these companies have their issues. I just want to know from a technical point of view which service delivers the best, or a more true HD signal. I will most likely be purchasing a HD Panasonic Plasma. thanks |

BEV wins hand's down,100% digital, rg6 fat pipe from dish to your reciever,2 new station's with HD content.Rodgers not 100% digital,rg38 skinny cable to your reciever, and if your don't live in a rewired nieghbourhood maybe you have that skinny pipe coming to your house. As far as HD goes the picture from satilite blow's away my cable box.The bell hardware is more expensive,599$ for the pvr but you can control 2 tv's with it.I've had my runnin's with the 2 of them over billing and what not,but as far as quality goes you get what you pay for....IMHO

i have had the opportunity to c both providers in a side by side situation. although the difference was minimal i chose bell for the amount of hd channels in total. picture was slightly in favor of bell.
