Default need help with bell 6100 maybe

Finally gave in and went for bells hd package. I am a little confused however. All the Hd channels come in, but the channel banner highlights the sd:normal heading, instead of the hd:normal heading. Tried calling bell support, and needed a translator to make the techie understand my problem.

I am using my component video cables, and did not have an issue when I was using my Samsung hd-OTA receiver.
any suggestions?

thnx!

Have you tried pushing the page up button. That lets you alternate between HD normal, stretch, grey bar, zoom and partial zoom.

personal experince.....had several times ...was fine most times
only had 1 bad one... lol...but suprisingly turned out ok in end..
but....
i had pvr an 6000 and 4700 --the 6000 of all the earlier receivrs was the best ...no probs....
bev messed up my first pvr worked fine til they updated the software then it was a mess an finally died few months later hard drive failure non warrenty by that time

my 2nd pvr was not a lot betr.....gave up aftr lots of frustrations
think its ben mostly bev software but again teck line was very good

l8test is the 9200 pvr ...hav it now for several months....
best product experince with bev since started with them
high def is good lots of outputs
if u like high def good qual and features give that one a serious look down the line

the thing to remember with all these is they realy are a customized computr chip operated system..so...dont push an push buttons on remote.....hav patience....
