Sammy HLP4674 - SA8000 PVR

A bit off topic - but this is the only thread with good Canadian content.

This set is starting to trickle into the US. Any idea as to the lag to get product into Toronto?

Also - any idea as to how soon Rogers might enable the DVI port on the SA HD8000HD? One tech said it was enabled, but not supported, and one said it wasn't and no idea when...

Also - just a note that I finally had to put a mechanical timer on my SA8000 PVR (not HD) so I could sleep - that dang hd might be "quieter than a whisper" but still too audible for me. Someone suggested this might not be a good idea re the lifetime of the unit. Oh Well - I got one of the first available from Rogers - and at that time had to buy it. (This is my second - the first ended up with a fried hd after 6 mos.)
