Question another 9200 question

hi,

I just got a 9200 dual tuner hd pvr
the pvr recording is confusing

i only have it hooked up one tv

it is currently in single mode
if i want to record 2 things at the same time can i also watch one of them?

if so how

i have times set for 2 shows at 9:00 and 2 shows of 10:00
so i don't miss them - but of course sometimes i am home to watch them while they are airing / being recorded

how is this accomplished

it seems to record the 1st 2 at 9:00 ok but when i changed the channel at 10:00 i lost my recording at 10:00

will it switch the tuner to timer 1 at 10:00 so i can watch while it records using both timer 1 &2

do i have to use dual mode for this

recorder plus??

any ideas?

i am so confused

Thanks

when u r recording 2 shows at the same time and wish to watch one of them u must use your PIP button to set it to the program u wish to watch. remember u cannot watch a 3rd program when recording 2 shows simultaneously u either have to watch one of them or some other show u have already recorded.

HI,
Do you have two cable lines going in - even if you only have one TV hooked up you still need two coax feeds coming in to use the 9200's features...

yes. even if u r only using one tv u need 2 lines going in to the receiver. if u did not have 2 lines than u would not be able to watch 1 show whilst recording another.
