Might be that you have the screen set to a zoom mode. On the remote, press the page up or page down buttons and see what mode you're in for HD and SD. You should be in Normal mode for each for accurate screen formatting. Check your tv zoom mode also.

the page up/page down button on the remote does not affect the picture with the 9200 model. u must use the 'format' button to change pic size etc. it's located bottom right. i still would like to know if he has the same problems when using the
component inputs.

I only have issues on an hd channel and the zoom button does not seem to do anything in 16x9 on a channel broadcasting 16x9

is there something i am missing
if i change the receiver (9200) to 480p it is fine only when the receiver is set to 720p or 1080i i have the screen cropping

i will try it with component as well

Next time you have an HD channel on the screen, with the TV remote press the Picture Size button and see if it is set at "0" for NATURAL. If it is set at 1-2 or 3, change it to 0 and it should be memorized for that setting whenever you switch or power on with an HD channel.

With my Toshiba, if I setup my HD channel with TheaterWide 1-2 or 3, if I power off the TV, the setting is not memorized and upon power ON, the picture size is 0 for NORMAL. Yours may be different and may not default to NORMAL for 1080i resolution.

thanks for the info - the picture size button does not work with dvi - it just says "not avialble" and the manual for the tv seems to indicate that with 1080i you cannot adjust the picture size
