Problem recording with BEV 9200 PVR

We have a 9200. When it's in dual mode and I set up a program to record on tuner 1 I cannot watch anything else except the program we are taping on the PVR. Same goes when we set it to tape using tv 2. Then we can't watch anything different on tv 2.

I thought we were suppose to be able to use the PVR to record at least two shows and be able to watch live tv at the same time. At this point we can't even tape one show and watch another on the tv being used to tape.

Are we doing something wrong?

Fix the problem you had with the Surround Sound ???

u can record 2 shows while watching an already recorded show. not a live show. if u r recording 1 show and do not wish to view it live then use ur pip button to switch to non recording mode
