Thank you Faibs from the tread posted on May 26, 2004. You just said what I was going to say - Rogers TV channels are total crap.
Never mind the HD channels - Rogers sucks, and big. Last week we decided to switch from expressVu to rogers - you know you always think cable is better (what was I thinking!). The technician came last Saturday to install Rogers High Definition decoder and together we spent almost 2 hrs; he was installing and later trying to explain why the picture was so horrible and we wanted badly to accept that. Summary: The technician had to unhook everything because we decided that Bell ExpressVu's pictures on analog channels were like HD comparing to Rogers digital. Don't ask about Rogers High Definition picture - what a disappointment!!! My advise - if you can hold on to Bell ExpressVu, do it - do not even think about switching to Rogers (at least not now). By the way I have Hitachi widescreen TV 51" (don't remember exact model #) and I live in a new development of Ottawa, you would assume that all the cables are brand new and everything should work nicely, not in this case. P.S. Maybe on smaller size TV you won't see such a big difference. |

Hi,
Have you had your se ISF'd. Whether you use cable or Sat (especially cable I think) the set has to be properly calibrated or the non HD channels will look terrible. Peter m. |

The cable guy did whatever was necessary, I saw him trying to get good picture, but nothing worked. After reading more posts about rogers cable, I am glad I didn't switch.
