No computer is being used in this setup. DVD (HDMI) to surround reciever(Component) to projector (DVI).

(*)The Cable Not Support your Computer Monitor Video Port, or Y , Cr, Cb Video. Your Video Source Must Provide a YpbPr Component Video Signal form the DVI-I Video Ports to Use Cable
Since you have spent the $40 - count it as tuition for HDMI 101 - bye P. T. Barnum

I am going to use the component outputs from my VIP211 HD sat reciever to my TV, instead of the HDMI output that I currently use. My TV supports one DVI, and 2 component inputs. Then I can use the HDMI output jack from my Samsung DVD-VR325 upconverting dvd/vcr to my TV DVI inputs. I think this will work fine instead of trying to use HDMI/Component adapters from the DVD

Should work for my issues anyway!

HDMI to VGA (RGBHV) or Component Converter
Features/Specifications
An Ideal solution for those of you that have an older Analogue LCD , Plasma, or Projector without a Digital HDMI or DVI input.

This clever little device will convert HDMI or DVI and convert it to VGA or Component!

Output YPbPr/RGB switchable. Plug and Play, easy to install.

[quote=Blue_Tech]A DVI and/or HDMI to Component adapter/converter.

Does it exist?

I would start here.. check out their tutorials too. I think you will pick up a lot more good info than on ebay.
