I have coax from my outside antenna to my cabinet. I have a receiver that has an HDMI output port. I connect my DVD player to the receiver using component cables. I have an HDMI cable running from my cabinet (in the wall) to my HDTV. I recently turned off my cable (which worked great) and the DirectTV receiver had a coax connection so I was able to connect to my antenna. Today, I don't have a coax connection on either my receiver or my DVD player but I do have one on my plasma HDTV BUT I don't have a coax cable connection running through the wall to the TV. My hope is that I can still use my HDMI cable. If I purchased a DVD player with a tuner and has the coax input, will I be able to use the HDMI cable from the receiver to the TV?
