Default LG TV "No Signal"! How Do I Hook Up Cable Box To TV?

I just got my LG LM6200, but when I connect the cable box to the tv, I get nothing. I have the normal white, yellow, red cable, and hdmi cable, and samsung hd dvr cable box. I click "live tv" and it says no signal. I'm confused, annoyed, etc. Someone please help me? I'd really appreciate it.

Yeah, I selected it, but it says no signal. When I hook up my HDMI cable to the PS3, without the red, white, yellow wires, It works, but the cable box just doesn't work.

Hook up the DVR direct to your Samsung with the HDMI cable only and see what results that gives you

The DVR is the samsun cable box.

I did try just the hdmi alone, but it still says "no signal" when I select the hdmi input as well as "live tv"

When I click select "auto tuning" it says "zero channels found". Really frustrating.

Still not working. I don't get it. The PS3 works perfectly when I plug it in using the HDMI cable, yet the cable box wont work with the hdmi and/or the composite cable. There's nothing wrong with the cable box, I know that for sure. Do I need some kind of wire, or something that I have to buy?

It shouldn't make a difference, but do you have both the analog cables (red, white, yellow) connected as well as the HDMI? If so, try removing the analog cables.

Have you used the HDMI port on the cable box before?

Are you subscribed to HD with the cable company? If not, the port may not be active.

If you have done all the above, and have the HDMI cable running from the cable box to the HDMI input on the TV (and you have selected the correct HDMI input as I would think that TV has more than 1). Then you may have a bad port on the cable box and would need to contact the cable company.

He resolved it, it was a bad HDMI cable.
