HDMI colors??

prolly a dumb question but I want to try and get it right. Is there a protocol (or guide) to follow when connecting HDMI as far as cable color? We'll only have the basic...blu-ray, cable box, least that's the plan now. I'm going to get cables from Mono.. What gauge? 28,24,22? This makes may head hurt

Not sure what you mean by cable color. HDMI is a single cable. So, get whatever color you like.

For short runs inside a cabinet or rack, 28 gauge will be fine. It's nice and flexible, too, which helps in close quarters. Longer runs need a heavier gauge.

Mono offers black, white, red, yellow, etc hdmi. I know I can make personal choice, was wondering if there was an industry standard that some might use..sort of. IE: black cable box to TV, blue bd player to tv, red gaming to tv, etc. Crazy I guess but was curious. Thanks for the input.

Ask the wife for her preference. Since it makes no difference technologically, might be a chance to get some brownie points at home.

There's no color standard for HDMI.
