Default Hooking up PC to New Panasonic Plasma - Both Audio And Video

Hey guys, I just brought home a new Panasonic TC-P42S1 plasma.
Loving the new TV but I want to hook up my computer to it as well to watch some movies I have on my HDD.

Here is my setup. I have a custom built desktop that has a decent nvidia card that has two DVI Outputs. One of these will be for my primary monitor and the other one will be for my TV in the other room. About ~25 feet away by the time I run the cable under the floor to the other room. I don't have many questions here. I assume I can just get a DVI To HDMI Adapter, and plug that into the back of the video card. And then run the HDMI cable under the floor and plug it into the back of my TV and I should have video. A 25 foot HDMI cable should work fine I assume and I can get a standard one off of monoprice even at this length? I realize I won't have sound with this setup.

The audio is where I am a little confused. My PC has a Digital or TOSLINK output I think its called. It also has a soundcard that supports 5.1 audio I think. They are 3.5mm outputs. My TV has a TOSLINK output but no input? So I guess I cannot use the TOSLINK output on my pc to connect to my tv for sound. Can I just get a 3.5mm stereo to RCA Splitter and run the RCAs to the back of the TV's input. Will I be able to PLUG a HDMI cable into HDMI 1 on my TV and RCA's into The Audio 1 and get both picture and video?

Thank you - Logan.

Also, if I ever upgraded to a Surround Sound Setup that has its own reciever. Would I want to run Optical audio /TOSLINK from my pc to that reciever ? If so i'll go ahead and buy one of those cords to run at the same time just incase i ever upgrade.

And then run the HDMI cable under the floor and plug it into the back of my TV and I should have video. A 25 foot HDMI cable should work fine I assume and I can get a standard one off of monoprice even at this length? Yes you can and I would recommend monoprice for all of your cable needs. I realize I won't have sound with this setup.

Hope this helps.

Yes that is what you would want to do so go ahead and get yourself a Toslink cable from monoprice.
