Default Problem with RCA/S-Video Connections

We have a Panasonic TH-42PZ80U. It has just become unusable with the RCA and S-Video inputs, both front and back. When our son plugs in the PS2 or the GameCube using RCA, the picture is offset - partially rolled. So, it is cut in half with the bottom on top and top on bottom. While troubleshooting, we tried putting our directv receiver through the s-video which is on the same input, and got very bad color, and partial distortion. We have tried unplugging everything to see if there is any interference, and it doesn't make any difference.

We are having trouble getting through to the Panasonic Viera Concierge phone number/chat.

Any suggestions?

Probably worth checking that the devices you are attaching to the s-video ports are configured to use s-video on their video out settings , that certainly sounds the problem for your directtv issue.

Unplug your TV from power (and all connected devices) for 1/2 hour. Plug everything back in and see if that works...

Default Thanks all

We did get through to Panasonic. They sent out a tech. They ended up replacing the whole A board. All is well now.

Actually, once we were able to get through to someone at the concierge service, we were very pleased. The tech they sent out was from a small local shop that was very knowledgeable and accommodating.
