Smile Comcast "Cherry Hill area" NJ Upgrades

I saw this week that Comcast started transmitting both ATSC and NTSC signals of the basic networks (ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX) and added some HD programming. Interesting thing is my Guide lists some HD stations as "satellite"; I see FX, Fox News and Speed are now HD.

What are you talking about??? Could you explain further? NTSC is the analog tv that may be cut in some areas. ATSC is not normally used on cable. Cable uses QAM. Satellite in the program guide? Do tell more.

Default ATSC and NTSC Explained

On a TV connected directly t the cable I can get a series of "ABC" stations; 6, 6, 6.1, 6.2, 6.3. The first"6" is Analog and the second "6" is Digital; the rest are Digital.

Nothing new or improved about that. The analog stations may be cut. Here in Seattle they say all analog above 29 will be cut. Think questions next time instead of statements, as the things you said were wrong.
PS really, welcome to High Def Forum. It is a great place to be. You can learn a lot.
