That is a very clear indication -- eh?

They're telling you about intentions. That's not unusual or inappropriate. I wish they'd say words like "intention" and "objective".

By the same token, I wonder how often they say words like that and get heat for using those words, no matter how correct they are. Consumers are often very unwilling to accept the reality that full and complete and absolute information is simply not forthcoming, nor warranted.

Well, of course, it is "on it's way". Those words are, as I alluded to, above, accurate. The question is whether consumers can accept such words, at their actual meaning, rather than the meaning implied by wishful thinking.

@BICKER

Listen all I am saying to you guys is what has been spoken to me verbatim over the phone by Comcast reps. I realize they are not the ones in charge of what happens. And yes you are right Bicker consumers can be SOB's and choose to hear what they want. IMHO they should just state that they have no idea what the intentions are for a particular market (in my case SE MA) rather than state what I already have said.

I didn't want to start a fight over this just stating what Comcast has been telling me for months on end that's all.

That is great information. Where did you get that from? I don't see my area listed yet. I am in Bristol County town of Acushnet. I actually believe that Acushnet and Comcast recently renewed the contract or whatever they call it.

I still have one TIVO box so I guess I will wait and see. Thank you for the info.

JEFF

Here. There is a poster, kenvt, who posts the list as it gets updated, and a poster, L Supreme, who posts confirmations of the letters going out as soon as they're mailed (i.e., as soon as it becomes public information, he helps us all know it). (Generally, a small portion of the towns we actually know about a few days earlier, because subscribers to that thread who live in those towns received their notification and posted. For example, I posted the first notification about Burlington... so if you have electronic billing notification, that thread won't help you know things any earlier than you'll find out about them yourself. However, it does very clearly show that they are upgrading the Boston area, very steadily.)

Default Grand Rapids, Michigan Comcast changes

Just noticed that channels 246 and 247 are active on the GR feed. There is no channel guide info yet but 246 appears to be TRU TV HD and 247 is IN Session HD.
