Default 8300 hdmi issues

I just swapped my SA8300hd for another cause the hd crashed now when i put my tv to hdmi mode its black nothing from the box displays. Ive done the hd setup and still nothing, the box wont say hdmi the picture format option dosnent give me an hdmi just the normal 4 options. Is there some other trick? ive tried 2 hdmi cables resetting the box with no luck so did i get another busted box? Since the last box gave me no trouble with the hd.

Sounds to me like a bad SA 8300HD box. I would take it back to your provider or schedule a technician to swap out the device. You could use component cables as a alternative to HDMI at least until you can get the box swapped if nothing else.

I presume you have not changed anything on the TV and that you have checked to make sure the HDMI connections are seated correctly.
