Default Virtual Digital channel help

I hope this is the right Forum for this.
I have 2 Vizio HD tvs, different models, diff sizes but both specs show having the same "Integrated ATSC/QAM/NTSC television tuner".
I am trying to avoid renting anymore boxes from Cox so I connected the 2 tvs directly to the cable to see what HD channels I can get. The 32" picks up the Virtual Digital channels (I dont know everything about this but the original channel is like channel 8, channel 8.1 is the HD version). the 32" Vizio gets several of these, the 19" doesnt pick up a single one just the normal channels. Vizio tech support says its a bad Digital tuner, I take it back and get another...same thing. What does it take to get the Virtual Digital channels? I have tried scanning over and over from the Menu and still nothing.
Anybody have help on this?

This would be the wrong forum, BUT...
Maybe the 19" doesn't have a digital tuner or an HD tuner. If it does have a digital tuner, maybe the options/steps to get to the 8.1 channels are different because they are different sets? e.g. maybe the buttons you hit to get to them are different?

Make sure the TV is set for digital channels when you scan. If it still does not pick up any, take the set back. Fouls ups do happen, and sometimes you get a lemon. It is a good thing that the other TV is doing OK.
