Default New comcast dvr to replace old model

My old comcast hd dvr finally died today, so I went to my local comcast office and swaped it in for a new model, did not pay attention to brand but it is black with no hard buttons on it, I have had it hooked up for 2 hours but still no guide, dvr or menu functions is this normal? does it just take a while?

No...that's not normal. I would call them up. They may need to send a signal to the new DVR from the central office.

Make sure that they didn't change your programming package on you with the new HD DVR. When I agreed to another one year promo, they didn't put everything in the computer the right way so nothing operated as it should. Just thought that might help ya!

Good Luck!
