cablevision rates after on year..

my MIL has had cablevision with a good deal, 3 in one pkg for $94 a month about 7 months..her friend just told her its only good for one yr and then will go up about $60..retired, she cant afford that much..would like to hear from other cablevision subscribers and what they pay(excluding extras like hbo, sho.)

I pay about $165/month for Optimum Voice ($20/month), Optimum Online ($45/month) and the Silver Package (which does include HBO and Starz)

Now, the Basic Cable package is about $23 cheaper, so I would guess you would be looking at about $142/month. Now, my friend had the package for a year. When he wanted to drop it and was sent to the retention department, they extended him for another year. However, I would only do this if plan on actually canceling if they don't give you the deal.
