DOCSIS 3.0 , Awesome. But then I hear about network throttleing for bandwidth intensive users. They are already placing limits on bandwidth and charging for overages.

Wow !! Then they'll have about 60 HD Channels !!
So how many does DIRECTV have now ? 130. I'm sure those faster internet speed packages from COMCAST won't cost any extra money will they ? What is it now $50-$60 per month for their current internet speeds ? What will the WIDEBAND speeds cost ? $100 per month ? $200 per month ? |

Well, that is actually some good news. One teeeeny weeeeny problem Comcast does not address is that I dont care how many HD channels they have, give me 10000, doesnt matter IF I CANNOT SEE THEM BECAUSE MY FLAMIN BOX GOES OUT EVERY OTHER DAY!!!
Whew that felt good. Come on Comcast, fix my box!!! |

Whats the point of having 50/10 if you arent going to use it is what im getting at. They arent going to come after someone paying them 130 bones a month. Whats the point of having 10mbit uploads if you arent going to use it.

My point was If the Cable Companies are going to cap Bandwidth, why keep offering bandwidth heavy services? Also throttling has been around for some time, its a reduction in bandwidth. So your 6 meg HD movie, instead of 16 minutes, you might get to watch it tomarrow.
