Default all channels "to be announced"

I had a small issue with my HD DVR box, so I did the usual: unplugged it, and plugged i back in. As usual, all the channels came up empty with a "to be announced" tag on them. Normally they all come back within 1 or 2 hours, but so far after 8 hours, nothing. Comcast tried to send a signal to my box to correct it, but said they could not get through. Any ideas as to what is going on?/ does a DVR box take longer to re set?? my Standard HD box downstairs is working fine.

That's not normal. My HD DVR takes about an hour to repopulate after a reboot. If it's still like that, I would call Comcast back and have them resend the signal. If that doesn't do it, I would get a new DVR.

are your channels coming in at all? All of them? can you order VOD? If the MSO cant "see" the box, then there may be a signal issue.

Default yep

My actual channels are coming in fine, but nothing on the guide. In fact my guide downstairs actually has the new MLBHD that I guess is up and running now. but my DVR box does not even have that channel listed even as a number.

Cant wait for the tech to come. I want to order Wrestlemania this weekend!!

which leads me to ask.. If I order it on my downstairs box that works, would I be able to watch it on my upstairs TV where the guide does not work?

I wouldnt bet on it. Can you order on demand? Still sounds like a bad box.
