Could be that he has the cable boxes hooked up to multiple tvs, and perhaps a DVR or two, like myself (5), or possible on-demand service on a few channels ($4.99 ea). Each box is what? $5-$6 dollars (x4 = an additional $20, and DVR service an additional $10).

Dude, please stop generalizing cable PQ. Not ALL cable companies have the same PQ. Nobody is denying the fact that FIOS may be head and shoulders above your old cable company. But your statements that FIOS is head and shoulder above ALL cable providers is just ridiculous.
