Default Comcast Cable Decryption

Hi, 1st time Poster.

My TV is a Philips 32PFL5332D/37
Location: Blacksburg, VA

I've had the TV for a little over a year now, with a "non" HDTV package with Comcast. The 1st time I scanned my channels a year ago I picked up around 30 digital stations (including my local affiliate stations), along with 50-60 analog channels. Over the past year I have slowly lost some of these stations. This initially did not bother me, but when I lost ESPN2HD last week that was all I could take (lol).

So, earlier today I rescanned my channels. The scan showed 312 digital and 61 analog stations were found. This yielded two new digital channels (Encore & Starz) but failed to bring my ESPH2HD, and also caused me to loose CBSHD.

If anyone knows why I am loosing digital channels, how I can get them back, & or how to find / decrypt more digital channels please let me know!!

Thanks

**UPDATE**

All Local Stations Found - They got restructured because all my local stations are broadcasting their digital stations on their previously analog frequency.

Still no sign of ESPN2HD and several other cable digital stations that I previously had.

Still looking for info / help

Thanks!!!

You are not going to get ESPN2HD without a cable box. The ESPN channels are expensive for a TV provider to provide so they are not going to send it in the clear. It was probably a mistake on Comcast's part.

you also could get a cable card if your tv can handle it.
