Washington, D.C. (February 18, 2009) -- Comcast has signed a carriage agreement to carry the High-Definition and SD editions of MavTV, a company spokeswoman confirmed today.
However, the cable operator did not reveal when and where the new channel will be launched.
MavTV, whose slogan is "created by men for men," offers a diverse lineup of programming for the male viewer, including sports, gaming, fitness programs, comedy and women in scantily-clad outfits. (The company's web site has a feature called, "MavGirl of the Day.")

Verizon's FiOS, Charter and Cablevision have already added the high-def channel, which is also carried in Canada and Europe.
"We are extremely pleased to have signed an affiliation agreement with the largest distributor in the world," said MavTV's Steve Smith "This agreement supports our goal of becoming one of the premiere male-oriented cable television networks
