Can someone explain why it isn't very good? Some channels are better than others, but compared to DirecTV, it's a bit rough around the edges overall.
I'm not necessarily complaining cause I'd rather not pay extra for HD ... I'm really just curious: What kind of shortcut are they taking? Are they degrading the signal due to bandwith concerns? Is it just the physical aspect of traveling via cables rather than through the air? My understanding was that all HD providers are broadcasting in 720p or 1080i, so with that being equal, what accounts for the difference? Thanks. |
