Default Comcast is driving me crazy!!

Please help! I have a comcast dch3416 dual tuner hd dvr box. Long story here, sorry but here goes. My on demand was not working all the time so I went and swapped out the box. the new box was no better so I had a tech come out and he swapped out the box, he called in and then informs me that there wasn't even a dvr box listed on my account. he finally gets it to work for a day, i have the premium or whatever package, every channel they offer, so i was able to watch all my movie channels, hbo, tmc, sho, wahtever, but when i go to on demand and try to watch any pay channels it says i need to subscribe to those channels, but i am able to watch free movies or buy a movie from on demand, so half of it works. now a new moron tech comes out, he says i just need to unplug the box for 30 seconds to reboot it. big surprise it doesn't work, he swaps out the box and puts an amplifier on the rg59 cable. I notice this and ask if it wouldn't be better to switch the cable to r6, he says yes but it is snowing outside and he is not able to do it now. well he leaves and all is working, this morning i wake up and every channel is blank with the channel will be available shortly message, but channel never comes on, so i return another box, get this one home and now all works but i do not get a few hd channels, usa, tnt, and a&e. so after a half hour on hold i explode at comcast tell them i want a tech who knows what he is doing out here asap, and put in the file that box swap will not fix, i want all new cable from the pole in and all thru the house. they are coming tuesday the 6th. I went on record with them that i am not satisfied at all, i am fed up and want a free month of service at least, well see what happens.

I had the same problem with mine. Have tech support reset your box from the office.

They pretty much drive all their customers crazy, it's not just you.

I'm glad I've never had comcast tv service.

After three trips trying to tune in 3 TV's and internet, the tech finally looked at me and said
"Can I come back tomorrow at 7am before it gets too warm in the attic and I will rewire the entire house with RG6 cable and get rid of this 20 yr old 59 stuff. It will take less time to simply rewire the house so let me know where you want drops."

The cable co is responcible for the "drop" to your house. But not the outlets. If your house is so old that it has rg59 run through out then you should be charged replacement fee for each line. But the tech should first run a hot drop from the tv to the ground block. this will inform the tech if the problem lies in the outlet or the drop. Also if your decided to wire the house yourself and you used radio shack splitters or those crappy crimp on fittings then these need to be replaced as well.
