Washington, D.C. (July 14, 2008) -- Batman fans don't have to wait until Friday to catch a glimpse of the much-anticipated new movie starring The Caped Crusader.
Comcast and Warner Bros. have teamed to offer original programs, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and trailers of The Dark Knight via the cable operator's HD VOD service.
The film, which opens in theaters on Friday, stars Christian Bale as Batman and the late Heath Ledger as The Joker.
Leading up the film's release, Comcast is airing six 'mini-movies' -- short segments called Gotham Tonight that star the film's actors in character during a fictional news show. The Gotham Tonight segments are in high-def.
"This exclusive behind-the-scenes Batman-VOD adds to our line up of extensive HD On Demand offerings continuously provided by top-notch entertainment partners," said Derek Harrar, Comcast's senior vice president.
