I'm in West Palm Beach, my HD Channels are:

FSNHD
ESPHD
ES2HD
VSGLFHD
NFLHD
TNTHD
MOJO
UHHD
A&EHD
MTVHD
DSCHD
NGCHD
HBOHD
SHOHD
STZHD
ABCHD
NBCHD
CBSHD
FOXHD
CWHD

I really am not beginning to like Comcast. I'm thinking about dropping them and gettin Directv. They offer so many more channels in HD, and i think the cost would come out about the same, if not less.

They did add some help programming on demand that shows how to use CH1 On Demand, but we can't use it since we don't have it lol
Our area has yet to get the CH1 OnDemand. When I asked Comcast why West Palm Beach (formerly Adelphia) and Ft Lauderdale (formerly Adelphia???) have OnDemand and our area doesn't, Comcast could not explain the reason for that. There is a help menu, but actually the help feature seems to be unavailable.

I don't know why Comcast can't simply set a target date for turning on the OnDemand. I have often wondered if it's just a simple programming change that needs to occur or if getting OnDemand actually requires new cables having to be laid down. I wish it were possible to see just "how hard Comcast is working to get this feature available in all areas."

Well, at least they have HD channels, although not all of them are true HD. I did determine new channels are coming in 2008 -- hopefully of the HD type. I guess I have to wait and see what 2008 brings to Comcast.

Yeah, sounds like we're in the same boat .. I continue to ask when we'll be upgraded but nothing ever comes from it, they sound confused when I ask that as if they have no clue whats occuring or what I'm talking about when I mention CH1 on Demand. I guess atleast we do have ondemand and HBO HD (five whole movies, ugh) but wish we had the Network shows on demand, as well as starz HD since I do pay for Starz in HD on Demand though it isn't there.

Well, after having found on the Comcast page a link to contact the senior V.P. of Comcast, I finally received a reply that actually looked like it was typed out. Of course, the reply came from someone in the office of the Senior VP. The OnDemand will be coming January 2008, however, that's up from Summer 2007 to Winter 2007 to January 2008. I wonder how set that January timeframe is.

As far as other channels, Comcast knows that it's adding new channels, I wonder why they can't just state what they are. Perhaps more contact with Comcast will reveal some information.

Well, they actually labeled some things in my Menu but nothing else changed .. example being HSOD was renamed "Howard Stern On Demand" and they reshuffled some of them, also renaming Search Light OD and About OnDemand.. still no CH1 of course (well, its there, but the message channel still)

Not true. RG59 carries HD. It has less shielding than RG6, which in longer runs = signal loss. Optimally, fiber optic to the home would be me choice, but the lines running from me local subscriber are copper, so fiber optic would do no good. Next best choice would be RG6. Depending on the run length, one may or may not notice much improvement over RG59.

I have about what you do and im in vero. I want the discovery networks, discovery proper, science..etc.
ive thought about it, but I dont want my TV to go out every time it rains. thats said I am getting a bit frustrated with comcast not adding HD channels. especially when I got the a show in the guide and it says HD in the info or this program also available in HD, discovery, TLC...etc, I even saw it on VH1 the other day..although I almost never watch that channel.

Comcast is moving digital channels around by taking them from one package and putting them in another package. I wonder if there is any kind of order to the channel re-positioning, new channels (HD), OnDemand startup, etc. Apparently FuelTV is moving to a new digital package. I don't know how that helps with any new additions.

well over here they just pulled GSN off of analog and moved it to digital, so maybe they did that to free up some bandwidth.

Did anyone else lose their premium HD on Demand? No HBO, no SHO, or any others on demand in HD? They added more to our menu though, including "WWE" and "CBS" but CBS only lists four shows total, two being Survivor: China. For the money spent, and lack of OnDemand, I'm really tempted to give DirecTV a shot since Comcast is really lacking since we're "former Adelphia" customers.. they continously also advertise their phone service, but that also is not offered here although it was on our bill as "now available".

god I hope not, there supposed to be adding HD not taking it away. dont know id have to look at my on demand. one thing I do know is that ive had the CBS on demand ever since ive comcast, probably a year and a half. normally they only have a few shows. also as far as I know were not in a former adelphia market. that may have something to do with it.

I'm in Wellington and get the same thing...HD channels in the 1000's that say I need to order if I go to those channels. I do have the HD package. Maybe they are a "staging" area for them to be put in the normal area.
Any one else have info?
