Thanks Bicker, I suspected as much.
I use the Moto box only in a wkend place on the Cape, so not worth getting a TiVO. .I'll live with it.

Check this out. Control the volume on your stereo. Mute the box and recover lost audio. Wikipedia rocks!!!

Yes this works great thanks for the info, it took me 5 tries to get it to work. The reason the first 4 code inputs did not work is because I pressed the buttons to fast, if any one has trouble programing their remote I suggest entering the code slowly it worked for me.

Default A25 5 minute skip

This may have been discussed elsewhere, but Charter just deployed the A25 S/W in my area and I learned of this cool function. "Page up" button now skips 5 min forward and "page down" skips 5 min backward. I think Comcast has been deploying the newest S/W for some time now, but I have no idea how prevalent the roll out is for any of the MSOs across the country.

True?

I'm also finding it difficult to track down other features, like how to set channel skip. There seems to be a lack of details. Am I using i-guide? How do I tell?

Al

That is not Iguide cox does not use Iguide only SARA or Passport

Has anyone got this to work recently with a new Motorola DCT3416 I hd-dvr box?

It seems to be an issue with the box rather than the remote. I can map other functions to other buttons.

I just cant get the 30 sec skip code to ever work on any button using any of the above methods. Any ideas?

This is cox service south orange county california.

Thanks

I have it working on my DCT3416. But I am with Comcast. Cox may have this feature disabled.

Default Cox DVR could have 30 second skip

I just "upgraded" to Cox digital cable with their DVR service. I used to have ReplayTV and loved the 30 second skip feature. I was bummed that the Motorola DCT3412 DVR I got from Cox didn't support it. I searched forums like this one and saw suggestions for turning on the skip feature. They didn't work with Cox.

I researched this and found out that the Passport Echo software that Cox uses in their DVRs DOES support a 30 second skip. It just has to be enabled by the cable provider (ie Cox). I got this straight from the technical support engineers at Rovi Corp which now owns/provides the Passport Echo software. So it seems like we need more customers to petition Cox to enable the 30 second skip in their version of the Passport SW on their boxes. Hey, Comcast supports it so why can't Cox?
