Angry TWC - I Can't believe that I cannot filter channels from the guide!!!

I like the new picture from my new HD 8300 setup but it is really annoying not to be able to get rid of channels that I don't receive from the guide. Am I missing something? I am always thinking "Ohhhh that looks good....no....wait I don't get that channel".
It has a favorites button but then there is no list, you have to go through them one channel at a time.
How annoying!
Anyone have a fix?

Absolutely! Subscribe to everything. Back when I got my first DVR, I was flabbergasted because everything, and I mean everything was wide open. From naked women to PPV movies, nothing was blocked. I was in couch potato heaven for just over 2 weeks... then reality set in.

There's good indications that a year from now, all or some portion of us are going to be using a whole different software system from TWC. What you want may be part of that (IMO, their interests are probably better served by you having the ability to see what you're missing).

I know why they do it but it is still very annoying.

"Honey....I thought of an idea to fix that darn guide problem and it would only be ~$20 or $30 a month......"
