That's what I think it is too. The guys over at AVS told me how to get into the service menu to adjust the horizontal, but I really don't want to fool with it. It's still under 30 days so I'm just going to take it back.

the setup on whatever you get to optimize te performance of your tv.

This TV is less than 30 days old though. Are you saying that all HD sets need to be fine tuned for optimal performance?

At least the 4 I have set or help set up. That and I read somewhere and it could have been here that they are setup for dealer showrooms.

did you try calling the hotline for the TV set manufacturer? I know it sounds like a hassle but they can sometimes help and walk you through diagnostics, adjustments etc. I would give it a try - maybe you can avoid taking the TV back.

When I got my Sony HD TV the picutre was all purple. I called the Sony hotline and we found out the motorola cable box had a mis-matched connect post - we just switched the wire and presto - picutre was perfect.

they were right there short hold time to... Great service
