Default COMCAST/ESPN2-HD Seattle Added

Woke up this morning turned to channel 174 in hopes that it was finally there and yes it was. Now INHD2 is gone, what's up with that? Damn Comcast! Do something good but of course it has it's price. Chatted with a rep about it and he said "Unfortunately it is being removed, that channel was scheduled to be removed in late July anyways, so when we had the opportunity to add ESPN2-HD we took INHD2 offline a little early".

Strange, here in Chicago ESPNHD2 was added last Friday on 203 and the INHD and INHD2 were untouched. My past experience with customer service and installers from Comcast is that they are the last to know what channels are being added or dropped. The INHD channels are partly owned by Comcast and I find it very strange that they would drop any of them, if anything I expect them to add a third INHD.

I have Comcast down here in central Florida. Receiving HD ESPN and HD ESPN2. Also still receiving INHD and INHD2. I would hope they wouldn't cut one of the INHD channels.

anyone have any idea if Time Warner is supposed to be adding ESPN 2 HD. It sure would be nice to get to watch the rest of the World Cup since most of the games are on ESPN 2

Thumbs down

yeah, i'm getting seriously tired of comcast's service...i rec'd espn2hd this morning for a while (at the expense of inhd2 of course) and then 20 minutes later, it was not available at all...and neither was inhd2.

compounded with the awful performance and features of the comcast/motorola/microsoft dvr, i am so done with comcast and going back to directv as of aug 1.

grrrrrrrr.

Default Nothing in so. Cal

I live in Lakewood California, so far no new ESPN2 HD- even though it would be great to have. Comcast service just gives you the typical keep watching for new channels etc etc.

Yup, stated on Comcast's press release... http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix....634&highlight=

Comcast added the new channel on June 9th in New Jersey. Hopefully they will get around to broadcasting UPN and TNT soon. I miss Universal HD, which took the place of either INHD or INHD2 during the Olympics. It would be nice to have that channel back, but not at the expense of losing a channel.

On a seprate note, I spoke to one of the reps during a meeting and he said that Comcast also upgraded firmware for their Scientific Atlanta set top boxes a few weeks ago, and so far I havent seen any improvement from that. Im a little curious about when Comcast's new TiVo set top boxes will be shipping out. So far I havent heard anything.

Default Inhd2

In the Seattle area and no more INHD2. If Comcast is dropping INHD2 permanantly then in the end we will lose a lot of High Def programming. Don't get me wrong I am excited to finally have ESPN2HD added to the lineup but has anyone but myself noticed that most of the programming is not being broadcast in High Def?? Only certain events and programs will be broadcast in HD on the duece where as on INHD2 it is 24 hours of all High Def. Whats more is that the 'INHD' channel seems to show mostly Tennis and Boxing and not much variety. Where as INHD2 has all the cool concerts and programming. Seems to me Comcast is ripping us off if in fact they are removing INHD2 permanantly. I for one would like to have it back in my lineup.

Default INHD2 - Seattle - What up????

I was surprised to find out that INHD2 has been replaced with ESPN2-HD. I liked INHD2 and frankly am a little annoyed with Comcast. With the amount of money that I am spending for their "service" I would expect that I would be able to get both. I thought their intention was to add more channels not get into a now you see it now you don't game.

Does anyone know if this is a permanent solution or is this a temporary setup much like the Olympics and the Universal HD debacle.
Verizon can't deliver their Fios solution quick enough to the Bellevue, WA area. I intend to drop Comcast like a bad habit when it becomes available.

Geez Comcast sucks!!!

INHD finally replied back to an email I sent them back in June asking if INHD2 was "going dark" like Comcast had said and this is what they replied with for whatever it's worth.....

Thank you for contacting us and for sharing your concerns about INHD2. It is gratifying to know that the channel is among your high-def favorites.

As noted from visiting our web site, we continue to offer cable TV providers two hi-def channels (INHD and INHD2) to offer to you. It is, however, ultimately, the decision of your cable providers as to whether they offer you one, none or both of the channels as part of their HD offering.

We are aware that some cable providers may choose to only offer INHD so we have scheduled much of our most popular programming on INHD including MLB, IMAX® movies and two nights of INHD original shows during our brand new MOJO block on Sunday and Wednesday nights.

If you provide us with the name of your cable provider and your zip code, we will be sure to bring your concerns to their attention.

Again, we thank you for your interest and patronage.

Sincerely,

INHD Customer Care Center
