Comcast Motorola 6412 Hd/dvr Box Service Menu

I was wondering how to access the service menu.

With your TV on power down the DVR then press select twice.

to get into the service menu, I usally have the TV on, and not the box, and on the comcast remote, I hit the menu button. A white screen with a simple list of options pops up. When I'm done, I hit power, and then power the box on again.
