From looking at Time Warner's website, the do carry a FOX digital channel, which would bring you HD if the show is advertised as being in HD. But being in Chicago and not familiar with what upstate New York is considered, I could be wrong. I did a search of TW's channel listings for Albany and channel #1808 is FOX WXXA. I know that I get FOX Chicago in HD through Comcast. Hope this helps.

In my area we have no FOX HD on the cable system, they want to be paid by TW to be carried in HD to recoupe some of the money invested to broadcast it... blah, blah, blah. All the other affiliates let TW have it for free so they refuse to pay. I have an antenna so I don't really care but it does suck because I can't record FOX HD on my DVR. "FOX HD, brought to you by Direct TV", think that has something to do with it?

YUP, down here in new orleans, i have cox cable, we have the same problem. From What ive heard, its because of the same reason! The reason being the local people wanted them to pay.
But i just am confused now.

Fox6.com Says Direct Tv Nor Dish Net will have Fox HD locally, and it talk about FoxHD for cox and TW

but lookie here:
on cox.net it says they have fox in hd. lol. but we dont.

I actually get three Fox channels on my TW box in Los Angeles: a local analog channel 11, analog channel 64 which is for news and politics, and HD channel 1111. They often don't broadcast the same thing. But when they do, like NFL games, the games are in HD of course, which I watch on channel 1111.
