Default FIOS to Spectrum

I think I am going to start juggling providers when my 2 year commitment to FIOS runs out this month. I've been a Verizon FIOS customer for 6 years and I want to trim my monthly bill.
Since I have wires for both FIOS and Time Warner into my apartment, those are my only options.

If any of you are currently with Spectrum-Time Warner-Charter can you address a couple of my concerns.

1. Do you think I can keep the same phone number?
2. Is losing "whole house DVR" a shock?
3. Do I have to upgrade (above the $89.95 deal)TV service to get Turner Classic Movies
4. Do you think there is any chance they won't destroy my FIOS glass cable out of spite?

I am assuming my only other "addition" is $10 for rental of two DVR boxes, probably each a single room only box. I think maybe the only deal breaker now is the phone number issue.

TIA

Phone numbers are your property and can be ported to any service.

Time Warner has whole house DVR and all the other crap that everybody offers.

The only problem is its Time Warner, a name change won't fix that...

I have heard that is true only for grandfathered Time Warner customers and new installs by Spectrum-Charter are single room only DVR's. What you record in one room must be WATCHED in that room.
