Hey there. I just got mine installed today. But I need to know if there is a way to set up 30 second skip. Help me anyone please.
So far the only thing I do not like about it is the fake Dolby Digital 5.1 added to the pro logic channels. All the dialog came out of the left speaker. I had to set it to PCM to get the dialog to come out of the center speaker.

See the commercial, the UI looks nice now.
How much the rental fee for X1 per month?

If anyone has any questions regarding the X1 platform, feel free to contact my via reply here or PM. I was one of the original testers for the system in the California region and have installed 100+ units, having been through countless hours of customer ed and experiencing nearly all related issues with the unit.

Joekewl1971,

The only skip to my knowledge is using the PageUp/Down buttons, which may even be a minute of time. This can be used as a 'work-around' for the OnDemand programming that has FF and RW disabled as well.

We just had our Comcast service upgraded to the X1 type service yesterday. Have 4 of the Pace model PR150BNM HD boxes along with the DVR/HD cable box. All seems to be working fine......picture quality is great on all 4 of the HD TV's. DVR works great and can access all the recorded programs from any of the HD TV's as well as being able to record a program from any of the HD TV's.
The "APP's" are nice, the sports info, local traffic info, etc....(our first experience with APP's......either of us own a Tablet or a Smart phone).
Internet seems to be working great as it was before, again do not use "APPs".
The phone service is there but have not used it yet.......(still have our land line).
Making the change will cost us less a month then the Comcast service we had before the upgrade.....(high speed internet and the cable TV service with 2 HD boxes and 4 of the Digital adapters). Now we have 3 of the new Pace HD boxes, the DVR/cable box and still use 2 of the digital adapters plus the phone service and the high speed internet. The change also upgraded our internet modem to a new larger one that has wireless built in. Better service for less money. Always willing to save money.
Hope this helps............

Step 1: Press the Exit button three times
Step 2: Press 0030
Now, when you use your remote, you'll find that the page up button, which previous skipped ahead five minutes, now skips ahead 30 seconds. And the page down button now skips back 15 seconds, even though the Replay button near the top of the remote also skips back 15 seconds.

I switched to X1 from Dish. Likes: the picture quality is much better than the highly-compressed Dish picture, I can watch many tv channels on my 'puters, even when camping, if there's a decent internet connection, so I don't need a camping dish. The on demand is cool. The 3 channel internet is fast and reliable. Dislikes: I can't make several custom guides (ie: news, Steve, etc.) and delete channels I don't watch like I could with Dish. Another plus is the service has been at least as reliable as Dish was.

Is there a frame advance trick for forward and back?
